1st
Promotion of cycling culture began at the YouBike rental stations throughout Taipei City.
Five additional public bike rental stations were set up to provide rental services, with the MRT Jiantan Station being one of the locations.

2nd
August 31 as the last day for drivers to apply for reinstatement of their revoked licenses (due to delayed fine payment between July 1, 1996 and June 30, 2006) after fine payment is made in accordance with Article 65 Paragraph 2 of the Road Traffic Management and Penalty Act (deadline extended to September 2 due to holidays).

3rd
The trial two-hour lane control was reduced to one hour (7:30am to 8:30am) at the Xinhai Road off-ramp of National Highway No. 3A during morning peak hours.
The second Taipei Joint Bus System Drivers’ Service Quality Improvement Seminar of 2013 was held.

11th
Openings on the central island at the intersection of Roosevelt Road and Jinmen Street were completed for pedestrians.
“Fun Travel in Taipei” won the 2013 Outstanding Transportation Project Award (OTPA) presented by the Eastern Asia Society for Transportation Studies (EASTS).

12th
Press conference for the new gallery-type bus waiting booths along Xinyi Road was held.

13th
Openings on the central island at the intersection of Zhongxiao E. Road and Linyi Street were completed for motor vehicles.

16th
Three low-floor buses for Route 203 were available. The buses were operative under the Taipei Joint Bus System.
Three low-floor buses for Route 201 were available. The buses were operative under the Taipei Joint Bus System.

17th
Delegation of the Finance Bureau, Taichung City Government visited the Taipei City Hall Bus Station to learn and share successful experiences with Taipei City.
Taipei Metropolitan Intra-city and Highway Bus Route Review Committee convened the 81st group meeting.

18th
Taipei Metropolitan Intra-city and Highway Bus Route Review Committee convened the 59th committee meeting.

22nd
The 2013 Car-free Day event was held. Hiking, bike riding and street carnival were put together for the first time to encourage the use of green transportation and officially declared Taipei City’s commitment to become a low-carbon city.

23rd
Software and hardware engineering designs for the Project of 2013 Taipei City Main Roads Traffic Surveillance System & Construction Service Contract were completed.

26th
On-time arrival services of last buses at prioritized stops were extended to include 30 bus routes throughout Taipei City.

Bus route maps for the MRT Taipei Zoo Station, MRT Xinbeitou Station and MRT Yuanshan Station were released.
12,000 copies of promotional fold-outs about multiple fine payment channels were printed and distributed.

30th
The sixth Taipei Joint Bus System Driving Safety Seminar of 2013 was held.
