New fare standard for Taipei special service minibus for people with disabilities implemented on December 1, 2015.
According to the Taipei Public Transportation Office, as stipulated in the Article 2 of the “Essentials of Taipei City Special Minibus for People with Disabilities”, the minibus fare shall be 1/3 of Taipei city taxi fare. As new Taipei city taxi fare standard had been implemented, on December 1, 2015, the special minibus fare would be charged accordingly, 1/3 of the taxi fare. During the transition period (about 2-3 weeks), fare would be charged the amount shown on fare meters without referring to the contrast table. The Office would oversee the bus companies to install new fare meters, and minimize complaints about fares.
The Office finally stressed that special minibus passengers, for any questions about new fares, please contact the Office. The Office would ask bus companies or drivers to give further advertisement, and explanations, and hope to minimize fare disputes.
