Transportation facilities and cooperative measures along newly opened MRT Xinyi Line

As the MRT Xinyi Line was open on November 24, 2013, the Taipei Public Transportation Office (hereafter refers to as the Office) was planning to launch 3 new bus lines, in addition to Bus 56 (MRT Xiangshan Station to Songshan Railway Station) and Bus 57 (MRT Xingtian Temple Station to MRT Technology Building Station, going on Jianguo North Road and South Road), which were free of charge for one month from the open day of MRT Xinyi Line to December 23, 2013. The 3 new bus lines were adjusted from other bus lines on November 24, 2013 including Bus 28 and Bus 281, which were going to stop at MRT Taipei 101/World Trade Center Station (Xinyi), and Bus 38. The bus route of Bus 38 was to be shortened that it returns at MRT Daan Park Station. More changes will be made in bus routes and schedule in late January 2014. Bus 3 and Xinyi Express Secondary will be terminated. Bus 22 will be combined with Shuttle Bus 22. Bus Xinyi New Express will be combined with Bus Xinyi Express (Metropolitan Transport Corporation) and Bus 20. Please see the attachment for details. More convenient bus service will be arranged in connection with MRT Xinyi Line. The Office will review bus allocation and relevant bus routes when the MRT Songshan Line is open.
A new bus stop, MRT Xiangshan Station, was added to the bus route on Xinyi Road. Along on Xinsheng South Road to Keelung Road, 27 new bus waiting pavilions were established, providing people comfortable and convenient places while waiting for buses. The Office hopes that by continually using green fuel transportation and public transportation, we could make a contribution to environmental protection.
There will be 9 taxi stops established at MRT Daan Park Station, Daan Station and MRT Anho Station. Some parking lots will be available for private vehicles.
The Office would like to remind the public to visit the Office’s website for more information. (http://www.pto.taipei.gov.tw/)
