Taipei City’s roadside parking fees can be paid at MRT Stations
Taipei City Parking Management and Development Office (hereafter known as “the Office”) said that in order to provide the public with more convenient methods of parking payment, since 6am, Dec. 3, 2013, it has included MRT stations as another alternative venue for paying Taipei City’s roadside parking fees. At all 109 MRT stations currently operated by the Taipei Rapid Transit Corporation, citizens can present their roadside parking slips and make payments at the service counters when they ride the MRT. No need to make a special trip to the convenience store again for the payment. The public is encouraged to make good use of this service.
Besides the abovementioned payment service, the public is currently able to pay roadside parking fees in Taipei City at the four main convenience stores and Simple Marts, or through collection service of petrol stations. The public may also entrust financial Institutions or telecom operators to deduct the parking fees, or make online payment using chip cards or demand accounts (limited to the parking fees of the car owners) via “e-Bill” website or smart phones’ “iTaipei Parking” APP.
The Office stresses that in order to protect your interest, ask for the receipt when you make payment, and retain it for six months. If you need to make an appeal, please attach the payment receipt from the abovementioned payment agents for verification. If the barcode on the parking slip is uninterpretable and thus unable to make payment at the payment agents, you may make payment at the Office’s public car parks.
Bicycles are prohibited at the arcade.
Cyclists are advised to say “Excuse me!” before passing pedestrians, and “Thank you!” when slowly passing by on the left side.
