　　In favor of people who have to travel to the Taipei Neihu Technology Park to work, the Department of Transportation of Taipei City Government has approved the shared-ride taxi service route, “MRT Taipei City Hall Station – Taipei Neihu Technology Park” that will take effect on July 29, 2016. This service will be provided by the Taiwan Taxi Co., Ltd.
　　Commented by the Taipei Public Transportation Office, since the government made an announcement that asked taxi companies to propose a shared-ride taxi service route, the final decision had been made by the Taipei shared-ride taxi committee on May 31, 2016. The approved route was “MRT Taipei City Hall Station – Taipei Neihu Technology Park”, which will take effect on July 29, 2016. Described below were taxicab stand, fare rate and service hour:
(1) Taxicab stand (departure): MRT Taipei City Hall Station (Exit 3 drop-off area on Zhongxiao East Road) and MRT Gangqian Station (Exit 2).
(2) Ride-sharing fare rate: For details, please refer to the attachment.
(3) Shared ride taxi service hour: Outbound: 7:00 – 9:00 on Monday to Friday; Return: 17:00 – 19:00 on Monday to Friday.
(4) Service: Outbound: MRT Taipei City Hall Station -> Taipei Neihu Technology Park (MRT Gangqian Station); Return: Taipei Neihu Technology Park (MRT Gangqian Station) -> MRT Taipei City Hall Station
　　Shared-ride taxicab stands, labels and lines have been set up at point of departure and destination. The Taipei Public Transportation Office has asked the Taiwan Taxi Co., Ltd to provide share-ride taxi service and management. For any enquires or questions regarding this service, please contact the Taiwan Taxi Co., Ltd (55688) or the Office (02-2759-2677).
　The Office finally stressed that shared-ride taxi is expected to help develop new market for taxi business, increase transportation efficiency, and save energy and reduce carbon emission. The Office will continue to evaluate and propose more shared-ride taxi routes.
