Construction of “Alley 9, Lane 181 of Jiaxing Street (from No. 2, Alley 9, Lane 181 of Jiaxing Street to the intersection of Xin’an Street)” to change the Alley into a one-way west-to-east street starting from March 20, 2015 (Friday)
Alley 9, Lane 181 of Jiaxing Street in Xinyi District of Taipei City was originally a two-way street (from No. 2, Alley. 9, Lane 181 of Jiaxing St. to the intersection of Xin’an Street) (hereinafter referred to as the “Alley”). Local residents of the area suggested changing the road to a one-way west-to-east road to facilitate access to the area. Taipei City Traffic Engineering Office (hereinafter referred to as "TEO") entrusted the Xinyi District Office to conduct a questionnaire survey in the aforesaid area. The result of the survey showed that most residents agreed to change the current status of the Alley, which had two-way traffic, to a one-way west-to-east road. Moreover, residents of the area also agreed to cooperate with the government to adjust relevant control facilities.
The TEO expressed that the adjustment of this traffic route is expected to commence on March 20, 2015 after the completion of traffic control facilities. The TEO, in particular, urged drivers to follow related traffic regulations, and not to park in the Alley, in order to maintain the traffic safety and smooth flow of the Alley.
