In response to media reports that it’s too troublesome to call for YouBike repairs, the Department of Transportation, Taipei City Government, has replied that citizens may reverse the saddle 180 degrees to identify YouBikes found to be defective, and the maintenance personnel will promptly come for repairs. In addition, the function of calling for repairs is currently also available on Fun Travel in Taipei App. In the future, the YouBike operator will also add the function of calling for repairs to the YouBike App. People are welcome to make good use of the function.
On the other hand, the Department of Transportation reminds all that since YouBikes are public property, they should be used with care. In case of a breakdown, you may reverse the saddle or report the situation to the operating unit. It is hoped that, with YouBike, people can enjoy the ride and return home safely.
