The Taipei Public Transportation Office (hereafter refers to as the Office) made the latest version of 5284 Bus Information Website online today (February 26) (http://pda.5284.com.tw/). This website provides more thorough and convenient public transportation information for public access. Information provided on the website includes intercity buses stopping by Taipei City.
The 5284 Bus Information Website has been very popular since it was established in October 2008, commented by the Office. The average number of visitors on the website every day in 2013 was about 710,000, but this website only provided information about buses operated in Taipei City and New Taipei City. In consideration of the demand for intercity bus, the Office applied for providing information about intercity bus 347, which stops by Taipei City after Directorate General of Highways of the MOTC approved external connection to the website.
The Office also set up more smart bus stops so as to provide estimated bus arrival time to more people. So far there have been 853 smart bus stops established in this city. The estimated arrival time of intercity buses will be shown on the departure bus stop.
