Car park with an artistic new look
The Beining Road underground car park, located beside Taipei Cultural Center, has recently donned a bright and colorful outfit. Managed by the Taipei City Parking Management and Development Office, the former facilities of the car park had become dull and uninviting due to long years of usage. To draw on the public’s creativity and vitality, the Office entrusted the park operator to propose beautification ideas; LED lights and paintings were used to beautify the place. This has not only improved the car park’s overall environment, but also given the car park users a refreshing feeling, bringing art nearer to people’s lives.
The Office expressed that the theme of Beining Road underground car park’s beautification project is “the happy blue fairies”. The car park has not only been transformed into a humanities showcase with a combination of Turkish style and local art, but the public is also welcomed by the colorful parapets and signboards at the car park’s entrance and exit on Beining Road, and they can also admire the colorful drawings and lightings on the walls in the parking area and along the staircase, as though they have walked into an art gallery.
That Beining Road underground car park is the second car park following Fuqian car park, to undergo environmental beautification. The results are well received by the public. This project will subsequently be carried out in other car parks to provide citizens with a more pleasant parking environment.
