Lane 30, Tongan Street converted to westbound one-way as of July 20, 2015 (Monday)
Lane 30, Tongan Street in Zhongzheng District, Taipei City (hereinafter referred to as “the Lane”), was formerly a two-way road. In response to local residents’ requirements, it was recommended to be converted into a one-way road (westbound) to facilitate entry and exit. Taipei City Traffic Engineering Office (TEO) delegated Zhongzheng District Office to carry out a survey; the results show that the majority of residents are in favor of converting the Lane from a two-way road into a one-way (westbound) road, along with changes to relevant control facilities.
The TEO mentioned that implementation of the traffic direction adjustment will be carried out following the completion of traffic control facilities by July 20, 2015. It appeals to drivers to abide by relevant traffic controls and not to park inside the Lane, in order to maintain the smooth-flowing and safety of the traffic.
