Results of the 1st Term Taipei City Bus Service Appraisal in 2012


Taipei Public Transportation Office released the results of the 1st Term Taipei City Bus Service Appraisal in 2012 as follows: (1) 3 bus companies rated excellence: Capital Bus, Taipei Bus and Danan Bus; (2) 6 companies rated grade A: Metropolitan Bus Corporation, Shin Shin Bus, Zhongxing Bus, Kuang Hua Bus, Zhinan Bus and Sindian Bus; (3) 3 bus companies rated grade B: CitiAir Bus, Sanchung Bus and Southeast Bus.
The service appraisal evaluates 24 perspectives under four main categories, Station Facility and Service, Transportation Facility and Safety, Customer Service Quality and Driver Management and Company Operation and Management.
Commented by the Taipei Public Transportation Office, a public commendation ceremony will be held for bus companies rated excellence to encourage them to continuously provide quality service. Bus companies rated poor grade will be subject to fine and punishment in accordance with relevant regulations applied to Taipei City buses. The Office is hoping these companies will make improvements on company management and service quality. Those rated grade B will be specifically subject to frequent inspections to ensure improvements are made. Drivers who provide excellent customer service will also be commended. The appraisal and commendation are intended to increase the overall bus service quality.
