Implementation of the pedestrian scramble in Songshan District of Taipei City for the signal at the “entrance of Alley 303, Section 3 of Nanjing E. Road intersecting Nanjing E. Road” starting from March 26, 2015
To maintain traffic safety, the “pedestrian scramble” will be implemented for the “entrance of Alley 303, Section 3 of Nanjing E. Road intersecting Nanjing E. Road” in Songshan District of Taipei City starting from March 26, 2015 (Thursday). The “pedestrian scramble” is implemented during the “school-beginning hours from 07:00 to 07:30”.
After the assessment was conducted by the Taipei City Traffic Engineering Office, the pedestrian scramble is to be implemented during a certain period (school-beginning hours from 07:00-07:30) at the entrance of Alley 303, Section 3 of Nanjing E. Road intersecting Nanjing E. Road in order to maintain the traffic safety of pedestrians and school children. In addition, the pedestrian scramble is implemented for the purpose of reducing conflicts between passing vehicles and pedestrians so as to ensure the traffic safety of pedestrians. The traffic signals are set to make timely adjustments depending on the operation conditions.
In response to the implementation of the “pedestrian scramble” at the aforesaid entrance of the alley, pedestrians and vehicle drivers are urged to truly follow traffic signals when passing through or stopping at the said entrance. Pedestrians should also walk through in groups as quickly as possible when passing through the said entrance in order to maintain their own safety.
