New bus stop available for special service minibus at Taipei Medical University Hospital
A new bus line had become available for special service minibus for people with physical disabilities since July 13, 2015. The minibus stopped at the MRT Technology Building Station, Xinyi Anhe Station and the Taipei Medical University Hospital.
Commented by the Taipei Public Transportation Office, a majority of people with physical disabilities had the need to visit the Taipei Medical University Hospital. To go there, they had to book for special service minibus in advance. They could not access to this service whenever they needed. The newly planned minibus bound for the hospital was scheduled to stop at the MRT Technology Building Station and Xinyi Anhe Station. Service hour was from Monday to Friday starting at 8am to 6pm. The minibus departed from each stop every one hour. Fare was NT$20. The minibus stops could be found near the car park in front of the emergency department of the Taipei Medical University Hospital, and on the left of the slope exit of the Technology Building as well as the right of the slope exit 5 of the Xinyi Anhe Station.
The minibus lines bound for the Taipei Veterans General Hospital, the Cheng Hsin Hospital, the Taiwan Adventist Hospital, the Chang Gung Memorial Hospital and the Tri-Service General Hospital were also available. The minibus bound for the first two hospitals stops at the MRT Shipai Station, and that bound for the later two hospitals stops at the MRT Zhongxiao Fuxing Station. The one bound for the Tri-Service General Hospital stops at the MRT Wende Station. The Taipei Public Transportation Office will continue review and plan more minibus lines by taking into account the needs and suggestions of the people with disabilities.
