Special bus and recreational bus operated during Yangmingshan flower and calla blossom season in 2014
In response to the crowds visiting Yangmingshan during flower and calla blossom season (29 January – 27 April) in 2014, the Office coordinated with Metropolitan Transportation Corporation and Danan Bus Company to operate special buses for the flower blossom season. The special buses included Bus 126 departing from central Taipei City to Yangmingshan (Taipei Railway Station – Yangmingshan 2nd car park), Bus 127 (MRT Jiantan Station - Yangmingshan 2nd car park – Zhuzi Lake), Bus 130 (Yangmingshan 2nd car park – Yamgning Book Store), shuttle bus 130 (Blossom Clock – Metropolitan Transportation Corporation Bus 260 terminal) and Bus 131 (Yangmingshan 2nd car park – Zhuzi Lake). Some of the aforementioned buses are painted with cherry and calla pictures. Recreational buses including Bus 128 and Bus 129 will arrive at Zhuzi Lake so passengers can go straight to Yangmingshan without transferring to other buses. Only Buses 126, 128 and 129 will charge bus fare twice. Other special and recreational buses will charge fare once. Please refer to attachments for bus routes and bus information during Yangmingshan flower blossom season. Visitors to Yangmingshan during this period of time are encouraged to travel by the special buses as that will ease busy traffic and the demand for parking lots.
According to the Office, Buses 126, 127, 128, 129, 130 (including shuttle bus) and 131 depart every 30 minutes during Chinese New Year holidays (30 January – 4 February), and the last bus departs one hour earlier. Depending on weather and crowds, bus companies might arrange more buses going on the bus route. Please pay attention to bus information. Any questions or queries can be made by telephoning bus allocating stations, or visiting 5274 Bus Information Website (5284.taipei.gov.tw), or dialing Taipei City Government hotline 1999.
For people with physical disabilities, the Office arranged Bus 260 stopping by the Blossom Clock. Buses going on this route are special buses (6 barrier-free seats) and low-floor buses (2 barrier-free seats). They depart according to fixed time schedule. Special shuttle buses were available departing from the Blossom Clock to Erziping (passing Yangming Book Store). Taipei City taxi service for people with disabilities was also accepting phone calls; to call a taxi, please dial Taipei Star Taxi Company 412-8333, or free call of Taipei Public Transportation Office 0800-055850#3.
