What are the nighttime taxi service schedules and fares?

Taxi fares were originally inaugurated on December 1st, 2000. After 7 years, the fares were adjusted upward, effective at 12:00am, November 1st, 2007. It’s NT$70 as start fees for the first 1.25 km; after that, it’s NT$5 for every 250 meters traveled. For prolonged metering, it’s NT$5 for every 100 seconds for slow-moving taxis at under 5km per hour. In other words, passengers are charged metered nighttime fares throughout the day. Additionally, from 11:00 pm till 6:00am the next day (additional nighttime charge is calculated according to the time the passenger boards the vehicle), an extra NT$20 is added per trip, in addition to the metered nighttime fares.
