According to the Taipei Public Transportation Office, results of the 1st Taipei City Bus Service Evaluation in 2011 are as follows: (1) a total of 5 bus companies were rated excellent including the Capital Bus, Taipei Bus, Kung Hua Bus, Zhinan Bus and San Chung Bus; (2) 4 bus companies were rated grade A, Da-Nan Bus, Sindian Bus, Chung Shing Bus and Shin-Shin Bus; (3) 3 bus companies were rated grade B, Air Bus, Metropolitan Bus Company and Southeast Bus. This evaluation assessed a total of 21 aspects in four main categories, “Station facilities and services”, “Transportation and safety”, “Passenger service quality and driver management” and “Company operation and management”. Two companies, Capital Bus and Taipei Bus, were again rated excellent. The Kung Hua Bus, Zhinan Bus and San Chung Bus have won the excellent rating since the 2nd evaluation of 2009 and the 1st evaluation of 2003 respectively. The Taipei Public Transportation Office was intended to award the prizes to encourage those bus companies which won excellent rating this time on August 26 at the Traffic and Transportation Meeting of the Taipei City Government.
