Division
Department of Transportation, Taipei City Government, is the first-level agency of the government. With orders from the Mayor, The Commissioner, two deputy commissioners, chief secretary, three senior specialists and senior technical specialist, is in charge of the following sections and affairs: 1. Planning and Development Division: The division is in charge of the study and evaluation of transportation policies; general planning of the transportation system; the auditing, management and assessment of administrative projects; and the collecting and analysis of transportation data. 2. Traffic Regulation Division: Traffic Regulation is responsible for the deliberation and supervision of traffic service maintenance, traffic safety and execution during the construction of major engineering projects, plus the planning, design, construction and operation of traffic control engineering and parking facilities, including task supervision and traffic regulation administration. 3. Transportation Management Division: This division is responsible for public transportation supervision and management, traffic administration, fleet mobilization, vehicle inspections, driver trainings, traffic accident arbitration, adjudication, the transportation infrastructure services, MRT supervision and operation, MRT asset supervision and management. 4.Transportation Safety Division: Transportation Safety involves the arrangement and execution of traffic safety education and policy campaigns, accident prevention policymaking, and traffic safety improvement evaluation. 5.Information and Technology Division: This division provides intelligent transportation system data integration and analysis, transportation information analysis and information operation development. 6.Administrative Services Office: Handling documentation affair, file management, cashiers, general affair, property management, legal affair, public relations, research & evaluation business and other matters not directly managed by other divisions or offices. 7.Accounting Office: Handling annual accounts and accounting matters in accordance with the law. 8.Statistics Office: Handling statistical matters in accordance with the law. 9.Personnel Office: Be responsible for personnel management matters in accordance with the law. 10.Government Ethics Office: Be responsible for government ethics matters in accordance with the law. Taipei City Parking Management and Development Office, Taipei City Traffic Engineering Office, Taipei City Public Transportation Office and Taipei City Traffic Adjudication Office are established under the department. Traffic Division, Taipei City Police Department supervises the implementation of traffic business.
