Celebrating DOT’s 24th Anniversary; Let’s Join Hands to Clean up the Mountain

To celebrate its 24th Anniversary, the Taipei City Department of Transport (DOT) has especially organized a mountain clean-up hiking activity on the 10th of March, 2012, to promote and also practice the concepts of low carbon and energy saving, advocating staff and family members to readily perform acts of environmental protection and also fulfill their social responsibility. The event started at the Maokong Station of the Maokong Gondola, passing Zhangshu and Zhanghu Trails and finished at Zhangshan Temple. The hike combined environment protection and mountain cleaning, where staff and their families members carried garbage bags to pick up rubbish along the way, cleaning up the hiking trail, returning a clean space to mother nature, and allowing future hikers to enjoy a comfortable and clean environment.
Through this event, one can exercise while benefitting social welfare. During the course of the mountain clean-up hike, not only did our colleagues bolster their health, rejuvenate friendships with each other, actively protect the environment, but they also helped to maintain a beautiful leisure environment, fully demonstrating the heartfelt care that DOT has for the protection of our planet and the environment.
