Lane 140, Baoxing Street, Wanhua District (Baoxing Street to Dechang Street)” converted to two-way lane for motorcycles and one-way lane for cars (westbound) on November 2, 2015 (Monday)

Lane 140, Baoxing Street, Wanhua District of Taipei City was formerly a westbound one-way lane. Based on local residents’ requirements, it is recommended that the lane be converted to a two-way lane for motorcycles to facilitate access. To understand the views of the residents, Taipei City Traffic Engineering Office (“TEO”) delegated Wanhua District Office to carry out a survey; the results show that a majority of the residents are in favor of converting the lane to a two-way lane for motorcycles, and one-way (westbound) lane for cars. Adjustments to the relevant traffic control facilities shall be made accordingly.
TEO said that the adjustment to the traffic flow shall be completed by November 2, 2015 (to be postponed in case of rain), with the relevant facilities to be implemented after that. TEO also appeals to drivers to abide by the road signs (markings) to ensure traffic smoothness and safety in the lanes and alleys.
