To uphold traffic safety, the “pedestrian phase” will be used on a trial basis at the junction of “Beian Road and Jingye 3rd Road”, Zhongshan District, Taipei City from May 24, 2018 at the following hours: weekdays – 07:00am – 08:00am, 5:00pm – 5:30pm and weekends – 12:00pm – 6:00pm.
Considering the fact that the junction of “Beian Road and Jingye 3rd Road” is next to a shopping mall and MRT station and to promote road safety of pedestrians, after careful evaluation of the Taipei City Traffic Engineering Office, the trial operation hours for the pedestrian phase will be (weekdays – 07:00am – 08:00am, 5:00pm – 5:30pm and weekends – 12:00pm – 6:00pm) to minimize conflicts between people and cars. The traffic signs setup will be adjusted depending on the conditions of its applications.
As the “pedestrian phase” at the junction is operated on a trial basis, TEO would like to remind pedestrians and drivers to follow the instructions of the traffic sign. When pedestrians come to the junction please cross promptly to guarantee your safety.
