In order to provide the public with a parking information inquiry service that can be accessed anywhere, the Taipei City Parking Management and Development Office has launched the Smartphone application: iTaipeiParking. Through a mobile device, the public can obtain various information regarding Taipei’s public and private parking stations for automobiles, motorcycles and bicycles, including the name, address, total number of spaces, charging rate, etc. 146 car parks also provide real-time updates on vacant spaces, with the availability status shown in red, yellow or green on Google Maps. iTaipeiParking is free to download from the iPhone App Store and Android Market.
