Have a nice and caring trip on River Cruise

As approaching to end of this year, a caring trip provided to children in sheltering homes in Taipei is going to set off on the River Cruise. It is intended to encourage those children to go out, and enjoy outdoor recreational time. Planned together by the Taipei Public Transportation Office, Taipei Tourist Bus Association and Department of Social Welfare of Taipei City Government, the welfare activity, “Half-day trip on River Cruise from Dadaocheng to Guandu”, on December 2, 2012 is for children in sheltering homes in Taipei for free.

The boat will depart from the Dadaocheng Wharf, go on Tamsui River, and arrive at the Guandu Wharf, according to the Taipei Public Transportation Office. The children will enjoy the river view and ecological environment along the river. Tourist guide will be given to help the children experience the trip and understand the Taipei City River Cruise. The Taipei Public Transportation Office would like to thank the Taipei Tourist Bus Association for sponsoring this activity by providing free transportation and assisting in schedule planning so the children who seldom have the chance to go out could take this trip. Commented by Director of the Taipei Tourist Bus Association, Mr. Xiao-Ya Lu, this is a meaningful activity that it appeals to the public to care about the disadvantaged people, and the association will be continuing to sponsor similar charitable activities to fulfill corporate social responsibility.

The Taipei Public Transportation Office finally stressed that this activity is expected to bring joyful memory to those children. The Office will be continuing to work with the Department of Social Welfare of Taipei City Government and relevant social organizations and companies in organizing similar activities.
