Are you still thinking of where to spend your long Chinese New Year Holiday? Now here is a choice for you! Have a trip on River Cruise that you will travel along the river in breeze and enjoy the beautiful humanistic and natural river views. It is absolutely the best holiday trip for the whole family.

During the nine holidays of Chinese New Year this year (2013), the Taipei City Public Transportation Office has worked in coordination with the Taipei Cruise Company, CH Shipping Company, Sea-Sky Company and Hao Le Hao Company to schedule more boats during the Chinese New Year Holiday. Starting from the Chinese New Year Eve to the 8th day of Chinese New Year (February 9~17), the Taipei Cruise Company will introduce 50% off “Guandu Special Trip”, from Guandu to Tamsui (NT$55, original price NT$110), from Guandu to Bali (NT$55, original price NT$110), and from Guandu to Fisherman’s port (NT$80, original price NT$160). Passengers won’t be charged for extra fee if carrying bicycles with them on ships. The CH Shipping Company, from the 1st day to the 8th day of Chinese New Year (February 10~17), will operate ships departing from Dadaocheng to Tamsui; this route takes about 80 minutes. Upon arrival in Tamsui Old Street, tourists can have a stroll on the street, and enjoy some local tasty cuisines. The Sea-Sky Company will run the trip, “Dajia River Trip – close river experience trip” from the 3rd to 8th day of Chinese New Year. This trip plan includes two parts, boat trip and bicycle riding. Also during the same period (February 12~17), the Hao Le Hao Company will operate ships going between “Dadaocheng and Sanchung Zhongxiao (river trip)”. By taking this trip, tourists can walk around in Dadaocheng to see historic sites before getting on the ships to Sanchungpu for taking a look at beautiful river view.

The Taipei City Public Transportation Office finally stressed that as expected, there will be many crowds of people during Chinese New Year Holiday, and as the time schedules of river trips operated by different companies are different, please confirm with each company before setting off on a trip. The companies mentioned previously also provide service for special arrangement of river trips (boat rental etc) or other affiliated services. Please making inquiries to the companies.
