The Freeway and Expressway Traffic Control Regulations amendment came into effect on September 1, 2016. Failure to use the turn signal during lane changes on the freeway or expressway will result in an increased fine from the former NTD1,200 - 1,500 to NTD3,600 - 6,000. Vehicles which fail to queue in sequence when driving away from the main lane into a line of vehicles exiting from the main lane, will result in a fine of NTD3,600 - 6,000.
Taipei City Traffic Adjudication Office warns all drivers to adhere to the traffic safety regulations when driving on the freeway and the expressway, to ensure road safety while maintaining traffic order.
