Go to see Louvre museum art pieces at National Palace Museum by taking special transportation minibuses.

The Taipei City Government has intended to provide more convenient and diverse transportation services to people with disabilities so launched the barrier-free low floor bus 126 during Yangmingshan blossom season last year (2011) (blossom clock –Yangmingshuwu (2nd car park) - Erziping Recreation Area). Last year, a total of 164 passengers travelled with the 126 bus. The same service will be available this year during Yangmingshan blossom season and calla blossom season. More runs of the bus during week days will be available for people with disabilities to see the blossoms.
According to the Taipei Public Transportation Office, apart from the aforementioned bus service, beginning on March 24 and 25, 2012, the special transportation minibus will go from the MRT Jiannan Rd. Station to the National Palace Museum (referred to as NPM below) on holidays. People with disabilities can take the minibus to see the beauty of ancient artifacts at the NPM where the “Louvre museum art pieces” are now exhibited. The special transportation service provides an opportunity for people with disabilities to see the exhibition.
Further commented by the Taipei Public Transportation Office, the NPM is a famous tourist site. People with disabilities can go there by taking MRT to Shilin Station and changing to low-floor bus number Red 30. Since the transportation service to the NPM is limited, and to go there, people have to transfer to a bus from MRT. This is inconvenient for people with disabilities. The minibus special transportation service is provided to people with disabilities and residents from along the MRI Wenhu line. The bus departs at MRT Jiannan Rd. to NPM and vice versa; service hour is 8:30~18:30 on holidays (see bus schedule for details), one run every hour. Fare is NT$15 for every passenger. The bus stop is in front of the slope at Exit 2 of MRT Jiannan Rd. Station, and is at the barrier-free car park in the west of the NPM. People with disabilities are most welcome to use this service.
The Taipei Public Transportation Office will draw up other minibus routes to different tourist sites by considering needs of people with disabilities. The office will listen to the people’s suggestions and provide them most diverse minibus special transportation service.
