Designated time for pedestrian use at intersection at Wanda Rd. and Dongyuan St. in Wanhua District will be readjusted to “05:00-23:00 daily”

To ensure the safety of pedestrian crossings, Taipei City Traffic Engineering Office (the “Office”) will readjust the “designated time for pedestrian use” at the intersection of Wanda Rd. and Dongyuan St. in Wanhua District to “05:00-23:00 daily”, starting January 14, 2015.
As the abovementioned intersection is located near Wanda and Guangren Elementary Schools, there is a heavy flow of traffic during class dismissal time, where turning traffic often intersects with pedestrians. As a result, the original designated time of “07:20-08:00, 12:00-12:30, and 16:00-17:00 on weekdays” for pedestrian use will be readjusted to “05:00-23:00 daily”, in order to reduce conflicts between vehicle and pedestrian traffic while ensuring the safety of the pedestrian crossing.
As a reminder from the Office, pedestrians and drivers should properly follow traffic signs when passing by this intersection. Meanwhile, pedestrians should cross as quickly as possible to ensure safety.
