“Lane 43, Xiamen Street” converted to one-way northbound lane on October 5, 2015 (Monday)

Lane 43, Xiamen Street, Zhongzheng District of Taipei City was formerly a two-way lane. Based on local residents’ requirements, it is recommended that the lane be converted to a one-way northbound lane. To understand the views of the public, Taipei City Traffic Engineering Office (“TEO”), delegated Zhongzheng District Office to carry out a survey; the results show that a majority of the residents are in favor of converting this lane from a two-way lane to a one-way northbound lane, with the relevant traffic control facilities adjusted accordingly.
TEO said that the adjustment of the traffic flow shall be completed by October 5, 2015, (to be postponed in case of rain), and the relevant facilities will be implemented after that. TEO also appeals to drivers to abide by the road signs and markings to ensure traffic smoothness and safety.
