The Taipei Public Transportation Office has reviewed the trafficability of bus paths, and decided to open some of them to transportation vehicles in 2012, provided that relevant regulations are in compliance with. These bus paths and their allowed numbers of vehicles are Songjiang Road – 19, Xinsheng South Road – 20, Dunhua South Road and Dunhua North Road – 4, Renai Road – 20, Xinyi Road – 3, Luosifu Road (from Xinsheng South Road to Heping East Road) – 19, and Xinguang Road – 20. Applications have been accepted on December 21, 2011 to the Taipei Public Transportation Office (Section of Mass Transit). Permits have been issued (collected) on December 28, 2011 until all vacancies are filled up.
The permits will be valid from January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2012. To be eligible for the permits, applicants shall be companies, or institutions, or schools that will travel on bus paths for a long period of time. Used transportations shall be private vehicles or rented vehicles for business purpose with minimum 20 seats; the vehicles shall not be older than 10 years by end of December 2012. For rented transportation vehicles under the application, applicants shall be tenants of the vehicles that are institutions, or schools, or companies. For commercial buses under the application, applicants shall submit the approval letter for the use of the buses from their authority institutions.
Applicants shall submit the application form (available from the Section of Mass Transit of the Taipei Public Transportation Office, or downloadable from the Division’s website: http://www.pto.taipei.gov.tw/ under the title of Applications and Services), a photocopy of company’s business license, a photocopy of car license of the vehicle under the application; for rented vehicles, applicants shall also have a rental contract valid for more than 10 months.
Applicants can post or hand over complete application form and required documents to the Taipei Public Transportation Office by the designated deadline. Applications will be processed in order depending on time of receipt. Applicants whose applications are approved will be issued the permits until all vacancies are filled up.
