The qualifications for Plum Blossom Taxis include:
1. Quality vehicle (3 years old or newer; displacement of over 1500cc)
2. Good service (drivers must be from a taxi company that has received an award of excellence within the last two years, or must themselves have been awarded an Excellent Driver certificate within the last five years).
3. Drivers must not have served time in prison during the last five years, nor have had a criminal record within the last year.
Those who meet the qualification standards are issued a Plum Blossom sticker, to be placed on the vehicle's front windshield.
