We can see the control desk through the transparent glass. The big screen in the front displays a map of Taipei City. The traffic conditions are detected by VD and calculated by computers and presented in three colors. Green represents smooth flow, yellow represents moderate and red represents congestion. The control desk works on a 24-hour duty. On-duty staff monitor the on-screen traffic condition around the clock. A red line segment during off-peak time indicates a possible traffic accident. On-duty staff then check the real-time camera feed. If a car accident did happen,Taipei City’s Police Division will be informed to provide assistance.
