How do I find out where my car was taken? How much money and what documents are necessary to retrieve the vehicle?

Please call the Citizen Hotline 1999 (Outside of Taipei City：02-2720-8889). In addition to the penalty of NT$600 to NT$1200, you need to pay the towing fee of NT$1500 and the holding fee of NT$200/half day Within 5 days；NT$300/half day Exceeding 5 days for a car, or the towing fee of NT$200 and the holding fee of NT$50/half day Within 5 days；NT$75/half day Exceeding 5 days for a motorcycle.

You have to present the vehicle license and driver's license to retrieve the vehicle. If the vehicle license is not brought, the origin certificate of the vehicle (manufacturing or inspection certificate) or other credible documents that can prove the source of the vehicle should be presented and a guarantee letter should be signed.
