The Traffic Bottleneck Improvement Pilot Scheme used citizen participation and public-private partnership to propose traffic bottleneck improvements suggested by citizens. From its beginning on May 12, 2022 to its conclusion on August 12, a total of 163 such suggestions were received, 26 of which were bottleneck improvements. On-site inspections of all cases were carried out by Taipei City Traffic Engineering Office and the Traffic Division of the Police Department, and put forward for discussion by the task force. A press conference was held on October 27, 2022, where relevant proposers were invited to explain proposal content such as the improvements along Section 2, Chenggong Road.
