Taipei City Public Transportation Office launched the smart bus pilot program in 2017, installing ADAS on city buses to enhance traffic safety and collecting relevant information for further analysis. In addition, the Taipei City Smart Bus Safe Driving Improvement Subsidy Program was launched in 2020, and had installed ADAS on a total of 1,993 buses as of the end of December 2022. The installation is expected to be finished by the end of 2025.
